SUNDAYS OF OPUS: MY UNIVERSITY IS A MECHA ROBOT

In 1998 I was studying Hispanic Literature at the Universidad de Sonora alongside the brilliant poet and essayist Fugo Medina (leader of the Club Chufa's Blog). He and I imagined the horrid, cold possibility of our university being in fact a giant robot buried in the middle of the desert, and that there was a conspiracy to reanimate it and destroy the inane but charming city of Hermosillo.
